02
Overview
The context
Digital financial processes accumulate steps, documents and validations that make the experience heavy for a first-time user.
The objective
Reduce perceived effort by making every step understandable and predictable.
The approach
Map the full journey, isolate friction points and redesign the flow around simple decisions.
03
The Challenge
The challenge was comprehension, not aesthetics. Each screen asked for too much at once and never explained why.
- A long flow with no sense of progress
- Technical language at critical moments
- Errors surfaced far too late
Starting point: a monolithic flow where problems only appeared at the end.
04
Discovery & Research
Discovery focused on the real process, not the documented one.
Research
Understand the expectations and fears of people going through the process.
Benchmark
Compare flow patterns across equivalent services.
Journey Mapping
Map every step, decision and waiting point.
Workshops
Align business, product and design on priorities.

Key Insights
01 · Insight
Progress must be visible
Without a sense of position, users assume the process is longer than it is.
02 · Insight
Explain before asking
Every request for information needs a clear reason at the right moment.
03 · Insight
Validate early
Errors shown at input time prevent backtracking at the end.
06
User Experience
The experience was rebuilt in short blocks with a predictable information architecture.
- 01
Information architecture
Group requests by intent, not by system.
- 02
User flow
One clear main path, with optional detours.
- 03
Wireframes
Structure tested before any visual decision.
- 04
Interactions
Immediate feedback on every field and transition.
07
Interface Design
The interface was designed to cut noise and give hierarchy to the next action.
- Strong typographic hierarchy
- Built-in error and help states
- Equivalent desktop and mobile layouts
08
Design System
Components were defined as a system to keep consistency as the product grows.
- Colour and spacing tokens
- Form fields and states
- Navigation and progress
09
Validation
The solution was assessed in short cycles focused on comprehension and task completion.
- Usability testing on prototype
- Feedback rounds with internal teams
- Accessibility review
10
Outcome
The result is a flow that is faster to understand, even keeping the underlying complexity.
- A more predictable path
- Less ambiguity at each step
- A base ready to evolve module by module
Exploration / Refined Experience
Early exploration
A long form with no context and no progress.
Refined experience
Short steps, plain language and validation at the right moment.
